Brief Bio
Received the Ph. D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University in 1997. Was with Delphi Corp. from 1997 to 2000 working on advanced chassis control systems such as MagneRide semi-active suspension, Galileo brake-by-wire & ESC, and tire inflation monitoring system. Joined Ford Motor Company in 2000 and is currently with Active Safety Research and Advanced Engineering. Held 45 US patents. Developed technologies that have been widely implemented in millions of vehicles. Received a Henry Ford Technology Award for his contributions in vehicle dynamics and controls. Published more than 50 research articles. PI, Co-PI, Primary Sponsor, or project manager of various cooperative research projects with universities. Serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology and IFAC Journal of Control Engineering Practice, and an editorial board member of the International Journal of Vehicle Autonomous Systems. A senior member of IEEE Control System Society.
