Andreas Thomasson received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics and Electronics in 2009 and his Ph.D degree in Vehicular Systems in 2014, both from Linköping University. He is now working as an Assistant Professor at the Division of Vehicular Systems at Linköping University. His research interest lies in engine modeling and control with main focus on air flow. Early research during his PhD focused on engine actuators in the air path, including electronic throttle control and modeling and control of pneumatic actuators. Later, air flow and co-surge in parallel turbocharged engines became the main topic, in parallel with a small side project on knock control. The main focus of his current research is estimation of in-cylinder mass and composition in engines with variable valve timing.
