Bassam Alrifaee is since 2011 a research assistant and a PhD student at the Institute of Automatic Control at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

His research interests include Energy Management Control for Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Satellite-based Systems, and Networked Control Systems.

He received his Diploma Degree (Dipl.-Inf.) in Computer Science in 2010 from Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany. He wrote his thesis in the Department of Systems Analysis with the title “Advanced trajectory planning for obstacle avoidance of multiple unmanned marine vehicles (mumvs)”.
