Professor Pavel Pakshin received the Diploma in Electrical Engineering (ME) degree in 1974, and the Candidate of Sciences (PhD) degree in 1979, both from the Moscow Aviation Institute. In 1992, he received the Doctor of Physics and Mathematics degree from the Institute for Systems Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. Since 1998 he is the Head of Department of Applied Mathematics in the Arzamas Polytechnic Institute of R.E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University. His current research interests are in the field of robust control, stochastic control, multidimensional (nD) systems, new technologies in control education and control history.
