István Vajk received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Hungary. Since 1976 he has been with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of BME, working at the Department of Automation and Applied Informatics. Since 1994 he has been the head of the department. His main interests cover the theory and application of control systems, especially system identification and adaptive systems, as well as real-time software engineering.
