Fernando Torres received the industrial engineer and PhD degrees from Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) in 1991 and 1995 respectively. Since 1994, he has been at the Alicante University, as professor in control, robotics and computer vision. His research interests include automatic visual inspection, robotics, manufacturing automation, visual servoing, morphological processing and new technologies for teaching. Prof. Torres is a member of the CEA and IEEE. He has published more than 100 international papers.
