Biography:
Jorge Bondia holds a PhD on Computer Science since 2002, under the program of Control Systems and Industrial Computing from Technical University of Valencia. In 1995 he starts teaching at the Department of Systems Engineering and Control of this same university, holding the position of Associate Professor since 2007. He is currently responsible of the Health area of the University Institute of Control Systems and Industrial Computing (ai2 Institute). He has been principal investigator of research projects on the artificial pancreas since 2004. His main research interests are modeling and control in type 1 diabetes, biomedical applications, systems biology, uncertain dynamical systems, interval analysis and monotone systems.
