Biosketch:
Esteban Hernandez-Vargas studied chemical engineering at the Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico and received a master in control engineering at CINVESTAV, Mexico. He moved to Ireland, to start a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Hamilton Institute, NUIM, Ireland. In 2011, he completed his doctoral studies and acquired a postdoctoral fellowship position at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, in Braunschweig, Germany. He is now the group leader at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
