Harold Chestnut Prize

The award IFAC Harold Chestnut Control Engineering Textbook Prize is presented at IFAC World Congresses for the best Control Engineering textbook in one of the official IFAC languages for which the first edition(s) occurred not later than the Congress just prior to the one at which the award is presented. It recognizes the author(s) of the textbook(s) judged to have most contributed to the education of control engineers. The candidates for the prize are nominated by a selection committee, chaired ex officio by the Control Education Committee Chair. The books under consideration come before the committee through recommendation of the control engineering community. The prize consists of a monetary prize and a certificate.
