Inclusion and Industry Activities at the 2026 IFAC CPHS Conference

To support inclusion and industry activities at the 2026 IFAC Workshop on Cyber-Physical Human Systems (CPHS 2026).

Brazilian IFAC Seminars Series and Workshop on Control and Automation

The proposal touches extremely important needs concerning control learning and the spread of research in control in the context of Brazil: the access to control research at undergraduate and graduate levels in Brazilian universities with historically less research and development funding, especially located in the Center-West, North and Northeast regions of the country.

  • Action led by Gustavo Artur de Andrade, Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and President of the Brazilian Society of Automatics (2025-2027 term).

DEI Activities at 2024 IFAC CPHS

This action is for the academic and professional community of control systems and cyber-physical systems, focusing on enhancing the participation of students from underrepresented groups.

  • Action led by M. Dogan

ROV-based treasure hunts for attracting students towards control and robotics

Intended to host a series of public treasure-hunt events that utilize remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to explore specially designed underwater gyms. More in detail, the events are designed to be inclusive, allowing anyone to sign up and participate.

  • Action led by Giulia Michieletto, University of Padova, Italy. Action co-supported by the IFAC 7.5 Technical Committee (Intelligent Autonomous Vehicles).

Trienium 2020-2023

Kids in Control

A workshop for promoting STEM and Automatic Control for kids from 8 to 10 years old for International Schools, dedicated to International Primary Schools, and already included in the program of  Little Genius International School, Frascati (RM), Italy.
  • Action led by Cristiano Maria Verrelli, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy.

(Re)Creative Mobile Robotics for Kids

Proposes an on-site interactive perennial workshop for
children to develop practical skills on mobile robots and drones.
