2025 IFAC TC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Computing and Cyber Physical Social Systems (SC&CPSS) Awardee Revealed!

We are delighted to announce that Ying (Gina) Tang from Rowan University has been selected as the awardee of 2025 IFAC TC Award for Outstanding Achievement in SC&CPSS, for her contributions to the cyber-physical-social intelligence theories and practices. 

Brief Introduction of the Awardee

Ying (Gina) Tang is the Professor and Undergraduate Program Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Rowan University, New Jersey, USA. An expert in social computing and cyber-physical-social systems (SC & CPSS), her research specializes in cyber-physical-social intelligence (CPSI) with a focus on modeling and control for system adaptation and personalization. Her work spans diverse domains, from early contributions in human-in-the-loop disassembly optimization to cutting-edge applications in personalized learning, real-time situational awareness, and decision-making in aviation and defense. In addition to her significant research achievements, Dr. Tang has sparked widespread interest in CPSI, inspiring a growing number of scholars to explore this previously underexplored area. This is exemplified by her co-founding of the International Conference on CPSI, established in 2021. The conference has rapidly gained recognition and prominence in the field. Dr. Tang’s influence continues to expand as she nurtures a global network of experts committed to advancing sustainability and innovation in SC & CPSS.
