2023 IFAC TC Award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Computing and Cyber Physical Social Systems (SC&CPSS) Awardee Revealed!
We are delighted to announce that Xiao Xue from Tianjin University has been selected as the awardee of 2023 IFAC TC Award for Outstanding Achievement in SC&CPSS, for his contributions to the cyber-physical-social intelligence theories and practices.
Brief Introduction of the Awardee
Xiao Xue received his Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2007. Following that, he served as a PostDoc researcher at the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, from 2008 to 2012. In 2013 and 2014, he worked as a Visiting Scholar at the School of Computer Sciences, Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Presently, he holds the position of Professor at the School of Computer Software, College of Intelligence and Computing, Tianjin University. His primary research interests revolve around Agent-based Modeling, Computational Experiments, service computing, and swarm intelligence. Since the beginning of his career, he has made significant contributions to the academic community through his publications. He has authored three academic books and published over 50 articles in renowned international journals and conferences, including the esteemed IEEE Transactions series. His research output demonstrates his expertise and the impact of his work on the scientific community. In 2020, he published a book "Computational Experiments Method for Complex Systems", which is the first monograph that systematically organizes the technical system of computational experiments method. His accomplishments have been recognized through various awards. In 2023, he was the recipient of the IFAC TC award for outstanding achievements in Social Computing and Cyber Physical Social Systems, acknowledging his remarkable contributions in Computational Experiments.
