Welcome Message from the Chair

Welcome to the official web-page of the IFAC Technical Committee on Robust Control (2.5)!

TC 2.5 focuses on modeling and control of systems affected by uncertainty. To know more, see the "Scope" tab to the left.

Beyond participating in the review process of the robust control area for the IFAC World Congress, we organize an IFAC Symposium on Robust Control Design (ROCOND) roughly a year after the IFAC Congress.  The 9th IFAC Symposium on Robust Control Design was held in Florianopolis, Brazil,     September 3-8, 2018, in conjunction with the 2nd IFAC Symposium on Linear Parameter Varying Systems.  ROCOND’18 was the ninth event on the subject of robust control design. The previous meetings were held in Rio de Janeiro (1994), Budapest (1997), Prague (2000), Milan (2003), Toulouse (2006), Haifa (2009), Aalborg (2012) and  Bratislava (2015). In 2009, the International Symposium on Quantitative Feedback Theory and Robust Frequency Domain Methods was integrated into ROCOND.  The next ROCOND will be held in Kyoto Japan, September 21-24, 2021.

In addition, we also put on a less formal workshop in conjunction with the IFAC Congress, the Roberto Tempo Workshop on Uncertain Dynamical Systems (WUDS) often immediately before or after the Congress. The last one was held in Banyuels-sur-Mer, France, in 2017.

Our membership list of more than 100 people, along with some basic information regarding individual members, can be found under the 'Members' tab to the left.
