TC 8.2. Biological and Medical Systems
Welcome Message from the Chair
Dear TC8.2 member
At the recent IFAC World Conference in Seoul TC8.2 was active in organising several successful sessions (see Activities). For the coming period, 2008 - 2011, TC8.2 will be responsible for organising:
-
the 7th Symposium on Modelling
and Control in Biomedical Systems (MCBMS'09) to be held in Aalborg,
Denmark, August 12-14, 2009 www.mcbms09.hst.aau.dk
and for organising sessions at:
- the next IFAC World Conference in Milano in 2011 http://www.ifac2011.org
I hope all members of TC8.2 will actively support these events by participating and by making themselves available as members of the program committees.
We should
take this opportunity to thank our outgoing chairman Dr. David Feng for
his great enthusiasm and commitment. He did a lot in terms of
recruiting members to the TC, particularly from the Pacific Rim
countries. He was also very active in getting IFAC co-sponsorship for a
range of international workshops and conferences held in that part of
the world as evidenced by his annual reports to the IFAC Technical
Board, (see News).
Dr. Feng has agreed to stay on as co-chair of TC8.2 for the period
2008-2011, along with Dr. Ewart Carson.
