IFAC International Conference on International Stability, Technology and Culture TECIS 2018
Technology development leads to dramatic changes in international stability. It has never been so important to examine system stability. Currently and during the recent years social international and national systems of control have been shown to be inadequate and prone to be fundamental and most basic instable. Many basic assumptions are no longer certain and are definitely questioned. This event will systematically examine these topics. Another goal of the TECIS conference is to propose new approaches in dealing with globalization effects, as studying complexity and knowledge management.

International Stability and Technology Conference: SWIIS 2012
There are dramatic changes in international stability. We can think of the global uncertainty of financial systems, threats of terrorism, environmental threats such as recently witnessed in Japan, the problems of East Africa and so on. What can control systems engineers, automation engineers and other technologists contribute to solving these problems? This major event brought together technologies, applications, methodologies, systems effects and other contributions which will address stability in local and international systems, including political. economic, social, technological and other systems. TECIS International Conference 2015 - Sozopol, Bulgaria
The 16th IFAC Conference on Technology, Culture and International Stability - TECIS 2015, organisaed by the Bulgarian IFAC NMO and held in beautiful and ancient Sozopol in the Black Sea, brought together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia to give an overview of the state of the art, to present new research results and to exchange ideas and experiences. The conference formally announced 1. the new "Young IFAC Members Forum" chaired by Amy Stapleton (MITRA Trajectories) and Nathalia Kobza (ESTIEM). 2. A new Working Group in Cost Oriented Automation to be chaired by Prof. Peter Kopacek The conference also held a convocation on its fringes to debate future directions for IFAC generally and how TC 9-5 might demonstrate leadership, in light of emerging concerns about uncertainty and instability in international affairs. More details of the important outcomes of the conference are included below, in the TC minutes and in the conference proceedings available from Elsevier.
