International Stability and Technology Conference: SWIIS 2012

There are dramatic changes in international stability. We can think of the global uncertainty of financial systems, threats of terrorism, environmental threats such as recently witnessed in Japan, the problems of East Africa and so on. What can control systems engineers, automation engineers and other technologists contribute to solving these problems? This major event brought together technologies, applications, methodologies, systems effects and other contributions which will address stability in local and international systems, including political. economic, social, technological and other systems. The International Stability and Systems Engineering 2012 conference topics addressed are complex, multi-disciplinary and profound. The event was therefore broad in its scope and included inter-disciplinary contributions which were relevant, high quality and original work. Papers contributed to an understanding of control and automated systems engineering that can impact upon or influence international stability. Papers of either theoretical or applied nature were included, as were papers dealing with systematic processes and frameworks. See below for more informaiton on topics.

Invited speakers included both industry leaders and senbior academics.
