Objectives:

The next generation of industrial systems within the
Industry 4.0 framework consists of cyber components that
interact directly with the physical world, thus
constituting cyberphysical systems (CPSs). These systems
are expected to provide important functionalities that may
positively influence our life and society. However, they
may be hindered by novel threats to the safety and security
CPSs, such as malicious cyber-attacks that could negatively
affect the physical domain. The aim of this working group
is to bring together researchers and practitioners from
diverse fields of science and engineering working on
achieving safety and/ security in the cyberphysical system
domain.

Areas for the working group:

- attack detection and identification

- attack characterization

- resilient control

- secure control

- application to critical systems and infrastructures

- industrial application and standarization

Activities:

- Organized an invited session af IFAC World Congress 2023
- Coordination meetings to promote the research activities in the are of the working group

Future activities:

- Organize an invited session af IEEE Systol'2024
