DESCRIPTION:Time delay systems are continuously attracting the interest of
the scientific community\, as witnessed by the series of dedicated IFAC w
orkshops held in July 1998 (Grenoble\, France)\, in September 2000 (Ancona
 \, Italy)\, in December 2001 (Santa Fe\, USA)\, in September 2003 (Rocquen
 court\, France)\, in September 2004 (Leuven\, Belgium)\, in July 2006 (L
 ’Aquila\, Italy)\, in September 2007 (Nantes\, France)\, in September 20
 09 (Sinaia\, Romania)\, in June 2010 (Prague\, Czech Republic)\, in June 2
 012 (Boston\, USA)\, in February 2013 (Grenoble\, France)\, in June 2015 (
 Ann Arbor\, USA)\, in June 2016 (Istanbul\, Turkey)\, in July 2018 (Budape
 st\, Hungary)\, in September 2019 (Sinaia\, Romania)\, in October 2021 (Gu
 angzhou\, China) and in September 2022 (Montreal\, Canada).\n\nThe present
one is the 18th edition\, the third organized in Italy. The aim is at pre
serving the same high quality\, with a technical program ranging from trad
itional applications like manufacturing and automotive systems to emerging
topics strongly connected to artificial intelligence and deep learning\,
as well as networked and distributed systems. Plenary talks\, invited sess
ions\, regular papers and extended abstracts will all contribute to the pr
ogram\, focusing on theoretical and computational advances and technologic
al applications of systems and control related to time delays. Topics incl
ude but are not limited to modelling and identification\, analysis\, filte
ring and estimation\, stability and stabilization\, safety\, structural pr
 operties\, robustness\, approximation techniques and numerical methods\, d
ata-driven and machine learning methods\, control schemes and applications
in process control\, vibration control\, autonomous agents\, communicatio
ns\, systems biology and engineering\, economics and other fields.\n\nThe
magnificent castle of Udine\, overlooking the city from the top of the hil
l\, is ready to welcome the TDS community back to Italy\, providing that i
nternational forum to share our research results and to exchange new ideas
\, thus enhancing our understanding of TDS\, of their related fields and a
pplications\, and hence continuing the established tradition of this IFAC
 series.
