David Blanco-Rodriguez was born in Barakaldo, Spain, in 1984. He received the MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Bilbao Faculty of Engineering, Spain, in 2007. From 2007, he worked as structural engineer in SENER aeronautic company in Getxo, Spain. In 2009, he joined the CMT-Motores Térmicos Institute of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV) and started his research activity and PhD studies. In 2010, he became an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering in the UPV. Main research topics include air management, virtual sensing, data fusion, adaptive modelling, control strategies, and power management in IC engines (with focus on Diesel engines).
